A New Community for a Digital Generation

World Young Community (WYC) is a Word-centered digital Christian community created to connect the next generation with Scripture, worship, and Christian community in the places where they increasingly live, communicate, learn, and build relationships.

Our Story

The vision for WYC began around 2021 with a growing question: if younger generations are spending more of their lives in digital spaces, how can the church meet them there?

What began as an interest in emerging virtual communities gradually developed into a vision for a new kind of Christian community. As digital platforms and AI tools continued to develop, new possibilities emerged for sharing Scripture, creating worship experiences, building relationships, and forming Christian community beyond the walls of a traditional church.

WYC was created in response to that opportunity.

Our Vision

We believe the church is not defined by a building. Christian community can take shape wherever people gather around the Word of God, worship, prayer, relationships, and a shared life of faith.

WYC seeks to move from a church that waits for people to come to a church that goes where people already are, including digital and virtual spaces.

Our Approach

Word is the Center.

Community is the Purpose.

Digital is the Method.

Scripture remains at the heart of WYC. Digital technology is not our message or our destination. It is a tool that helps us bring the Word into new spaces, create meaningful connections, and explore new forms of Christian community.

Our Connection

World Young Community (WYC) is a new worshiping community of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.), in partnership with the Presbytery de Cristo.

WYC is beginning its journey within this wider movement, exploring how a faithful Christian community can take shape for a new generation in digital and virtual spaces.

Leadership & Steering Committee

WYC is guided by a Steering Committee that brings together pastoral leadership, church leadership, education, technology, parents, and next-generation perspectives.
